METALSMITHING AND JEWELRY

The work begins as a concept or a narrative,  and evolves as I work.

My greatest interest is in hand fabrication, lapidary work, and the forging of metal.

As a metalsmith, I am always in awe of the fluidity of metals when heated - and how rigid they become with each blow of the hammer.

It is an alchemical medium. Beginning as solid, heated and made fluid by flame, hardened again by forging, and connecting.
